Creating the media monitoring system at the Federal Parliamentary Library for the Australian Government, Visionbytes' innovative approach to digital video acquisition, management and distribution quickly established the profile of Visionbytes in this space.

Being awarded the START Grant by AusIndustry, Visionbytes was given the opportunity to develop its revolutionary search technology enabling direct access to individual spoken words within video or audio. Over years this unique technology has matured into a suite of cutting edge Visionplayers and tools which now drive the core Visionbytes products.

Working with NineMSN since 2005, Visionbytes has delivered a completely autonomous system automating the workflow of delivering broadcast content to both web and mobile. Content is cut to the millisecond and metadata automatically formatted to provide end users with a rich media experience all at the touch of a button.

The Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC) has been a long time client of Visionbytes, embracing not only the visionbytes.tv platform to deliver thousands of hours of content to their websites but also utilising the XML Transcriber and Visionscriptor in the television production process. The success of this relationship has enabled significant cost savings and ensured significant growth of the programme
